with no international travel plans this year (work excluded) i found i desperately wanted to book in dates for a little R&R and some "me" time. i then got over excited and over booked myself for the month of june. first off is a quick hop skip and jump over to hobart for a romantic getaway with the man. Whilst i'm thinking romantic, food, galleries, local markets and sweet drives, he is probably thinking beer, footy, food and... either way we are both escaping for one same reason. to relax.
i have visited hobart so many times and have always been drawn to it's authentic and richly historic charm (although australia is so young, comparably)
on my list of things to do...
1. mona art gallery
2. the market (friend has fallen in love with this place and talks about it still)
3. ruby's room
4. 356 Macquarie St Foodstore
5. henry jones hotel (always admired this building)
6. salamanca markets
not in the above order.
