so our hobart getaway didn't happen. one little volcano thousands of miles away in chile decided to puff up a little ash in the air and spread it's love over tasmania. our friendly airline was lovely enough to text us at 1am with the cancelation of our flight and give us a voucher, our accomo happily refunded the deposit and car was happy to let us cancel in advance. at first i was a little heart broken that tasmania didn't want us... but when i really thought about it, all this makes me think tassie would love to have us stay, just the bitchy chile volcano got a little jealous... and tried to get in our way. once the volcano decides to get over it's little fit, we will try again. instead i took an extra extra long weekend and filled it with eat outs and laze-bouts around melbourne and home.
i even added a visit to my friends shop, polly put the kettle on, a few coffees, a visit to my favorite antique shop, the mill (where i found these amazing european wall hangings)
and purchased this sweet silk printed dress from Herman's cousin Harriet.
