Repair project

So this darling little baby has been waiting ever so patiently for a giant overhaul of a makeover! My lovely Van Treight sofa will have a new lease at life! soon...
I spent hours yesterday researching ways to repair the missing wicker backing when I stumbled across a lovely South Australian man who specialises in wicker furniture (more on that another day) and repairs and even has DIY supplies, tips and even how toos with videos and all! I was almost at the point of giving up and forking out the money for a professional to do it. But with a little tutorial lesson I think it's going to be possible!
Looking at all this wicker I am noticing it around a lot lately and I'm starting to even look at it as possibilities in other furniture. Mr P has slipped a shelving unit into our bedroom apparently a piece which was sitting in his grandmothers garage for a while. He thought I would flip when I saw it... I did but in an OH MY GOSH I love it kind of way... Would go great in my sewing studio me thinks!

So for inspiration I think I may head to the modern times pop up shop on smith st fitzroy! Visit www.moderntimes.com.au... There is so many things on my wish list there!

Paris photo via ohhappyday.com it's making me want Paris bad! Other photos taken by me... These are the before shots!
